Weekly Classes.

Little Makers Studio Art.

Ages 2-5 years.

Mondays or Tuesdays, 10-11 AM.
Little Makers is a weekly class designed to expose toddlers and preschool-aged children to various media, including painting, drawing, and sculpting. We introduce basic concepts, like color theory, line and form, and direct observation, and expose children to a variety of tools for art-making. Children will keep an art journal over our 8-week course, and will be aided in completing a piece of artwork to take home after each class.

Enrollment is offered per semester. Drop-in spots are available when space allows. Children attend one class per week. Students may re-enroll upon completion of each 8-week semester as long as they still fall within the age grouping.

Next semester begins January 13, 2025 - March 3, 2025 or January 14, 2025 - March 4, 2025.

Foundations of Art.

Ages 5-8 years.

Tuesdays, 4-5 PM.
Our foundations class is an 8-week introductory-level class for beginning artists to explore a variety of artistic methods and disciplines including painting, drawing, sculpting, and mixed-media. In Foundations, we introduce art historical examples and concepts, and encourage children to experiment with different modes of art-making after these examples.

Enrollment is offered per semester. Children attend one weekly class meeting. Students may re-enroll upon completion of each 8-week semester as long as they still fall within the age grouping.

Next semester begins January 14, 2025 - March 4, 2025. Full Semester: $110/participant. Drop-ins: $20/class. Email to enroll.

Junior Studio.

Ages 9-18 years, by instructor permission.

The Junior Studio offers six-week themed classes in specific media, intended to help older children and teens refine their skills and develop their own unique style. At this age, we believe that students are mature enough in their practice to devote considerable time to producing a single work of art over a number of class meetings. Emphasis is placed upon working mindfully, with attention to detail, and being patient in producing a final product.

Classes may be taught by local or visiting guest artists. Enrollment is offered per six-week series.

Upcoming Studio Classes:

• Short-Story Writing + Illustration (mixed media): With instructor assistance, over a twelve week course, children will write and illustrate their own short-stories or poetry compilations. Artists will be aided in planning their works with attention to narrative, and the relationship between written text and illustration on a printed page. Works will be printed and finished into bound books to take home at the end of the course, which culminates in a story-telling evening for friends and family to celebrate our group of young authors.
  Thursdays: February 6-April 24, 2024, 5-6 PM. End-of-term reading event: April 25, 2024 @ 7 PM. $150/participant. Email to enroll.
